Michael Kahan is a Managing Partner of North Peak. He founded North Peak’s predecessor entity to pursue private equity investments, but transitioned his focus to public equity investing after partnering with his brother Jeremy to launch the long short equity fund in 2015. Mr. Kahan still serves on the Board of Directors of Extend Fertility. Prior to founding North Peak’s predecessor, he was a Director at Onex Corporation, Canada’s leading private equity firm. Prior to joining Onex, Mr. Kahan was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. He received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Harvard University.
Jeremy Kahan is a Managing Partner of North Peak Capital Management, LLC. Prior to North Peak, Mr. Kahan was a founding analyst at Bow Street, a Blackstone-seeded, opportunistic event-driven fund. Prior to joining Bow Street, Mr. Kahan was an Associate in the Private Equity Group at MSD Capital, a private investment firm formed to manage the capital of Michael Dell and his family. Prior to MSD Capital, Mr. Kahan was a Senior Associate in the Transaction Services Strategy Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Kahan received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, from Yale University.
Tyler Hall is an Analyst at North Peak. Prior to North Peak, he was a Senior Associate at Citadel Global Equities, a long/short equity hedge fund. Prior to joining Citadel, Tyler was an Associate in the Private Equity group at Bain Capital, a global alternative asset manager. At Bain Capital, he focused on the healthcare and consumer retail sectors. Prior to Bain Capital, Tyler was a management consultant at Bain & Company. He received a B.A. in Psychology, cum laude, from Harvard University.
Scott Lefever is an Analyst at North Peak. Prior to North Peak, he was a Senior Analyst at Steadfast, a long/short equity hedge fund. Prior to joining Steadfast, Scott was an Analyst then Associate at Silver Lake Partners, a private equity firm. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees from both the Wharton School and the School of Arts & Sciences.
Daniel Kaminsky is an Analyst at North Peak. Prior to North Peak, he was a Research Analyst at Point72 Asset Management, a long/short equity hedge fund. Daniel joined the Point72 ‘Academy’ program after graduating from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he received a B.S. in Economics, summa cum laude.
Melissa Greenberg is the Head of Investor Relations at North Peak. She is responsible for developing and fostering relationships with institutional investors and servicing existing clients. Melissa spent over five years as a Director at Protocol Capital Management, a leading boutique capital placement firm for hedge funds. She also worked at Cantor Fitzgerald and Jefferies where she was an integral member of the Capital Introduction team. Melissa received an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell University.
Jason is a Director of Investor Relations at North Peak Capital. He is responsible for developing institutional and existing investor relationships. Prior to North Peak, he spent twelve years at Zweig-DiMenna where he managed marketing and investor relations for the firm. He also worked at JPMorgan’s Private Bank, where he worked on their marketing and investor relations team for their alternative investment platform. Mr. Schiff received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Arizona.
Michael Lorch is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of North Peak. He previously served as the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Compliance Officer at LMJ Capital LP. Prior to joining LMJ, Michael was the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Accounting Officer/Controller of MSF Capital LLC/EnTrust Capital Inc. Prior to EnTrust, Michael was a Senior Auditor in the Financial Services Group of Goldstein Golub Kessler LLP, where he was responsible for supervising the audits and preparation of tax returns for numerous hedge funds. Michael received a B.S. in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Touro College and is a CPA.
Gabrielle McCarthy is the Controller at North Peak. She previously served as the Assistant Controller at Saba Capital Management where she led a team in a variety of financial accounting, valuation and reporting responsibilities. Prior to Saba Capital, Gabrielle was an Experienced Assurance Associate for Investment Management clients at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Gabrielle received an M.B.A. and a B.S. in Accounting and Finance, cum laude, from Providence College and is a CPA.
